While Sony is having troubles getting out enough consoles Microsoft has raised its expected sales. It has namely announced that it is now expecting to have sold more than 10 million video game consoles before the end of the year. By that it means the number of consoles on the way to stores, in stores or already in the homes of people. In other words, there will not be 10 million Xbox 360 owners before new year, but it’s still an impressive figure. Earlier Microsoft has said that it hoped to sell “about” 10 million Xbox 360s, but now it’s aiming above 10 million, which means a lot to PR people.
At the same time, its now clear that Xbox 360 is selling better and have been received better than the first Xbox. A very positive trend for Microsoft and we’ll have to wait and see if it continues now that both Sony and Nintendo have launched their consoles.
