3Dlabs Inc. is a daughter company to Creative Technology and is mainly known for its advanced video cards, and then mainly its Wildcat Realizm series. 3Dlabs has now announced that it will stop focusing on the workstation market, that according to the company is about to shrink. It will instead be focusing on the portable 3D market where we have seen big progress from both ATI and NVIDIA lately. This is without a doubt a growing market and 3Dlabs seems to want to be there when it all starts to escalate. This means the company will have to lay off about 100 employees and at the same time reorganize the company before the new course is set.
