Manufacturers have contacted and given us information about their new graphics cards based on FX 5700 Ultra and 5950 Ultra.
Leadtek releases three cards based on the new chips:
- WinFast A360TD (5700)
- WinFast A360TD Ultra (5700 ultra)
- WinFast A380TD MyVIVO Edition (5950 Ultra)
MyVIVO Edition sounds promising with a cool feature allowing for video capture right off a DVD or CD.
Gainward initially releases two cards from what we have gathered.
- CoolFX PowerPack! Ultra/1800 XP “Golden Sample” (5950 Ultra)
- CoolFX PowerPack! Ultra/960XP “Golden Sample” (5700 Ultra)
Both cards are watercooled and their clock frequencies are 550/1050 and 500+/1000+ MHz respectively. CoolFX 1800XP however should be old news for NordicHardware’s readers? 😉
Innovision too starts out with two cards and they are based on 5700 Ultra and 5950 Ultra just like Gainward’s.
- Tornado GeForce FX 5700 Ultra
- Tornado GeForce FX 5950 Ultra
You who read our review of the 5900 card probably remember how strongly we appreciated its silent cooling. These two cards seem to use the reference design though.
Albatron isn’t just idly standing by but releases a card as well:
- GeForce FX5700U (5700 Ultra)
Prolink releases two cards based on NV36:
- Pixelview GeForce FX 5700
- Pixelview GeForce FX 5700 Ultra
Prolink’s cards are completely unique due to their on-board LCD display(!) monitoring GPU temperature and fan speed. Furthermore, the card is housed in a case á la Leadtek 5800 Ultra. Cool stuff indeed.
Incidentally, we can inform you that we will most certainly review quite a few of the cards mentioned above.
