A few days ago a rumor about DFI appeared. It said that DFI would stop making motherboards for the desktop market, I.e. stop producing its strong LANParty brand, a brand which many enthusiasts have fallen for. We thought this sounded a bit odd considering DFI’s great success on the enthusiast market and chose not to spread the rumor further, which now seems to have been the right thing to do. DFI has namely relaesed a statement to stop these rumors. DFI will look over its product assortment but it’s only the cheaper models that will be removed from the desktop market.
It will do this to be able to focus more on the more advanced boards ranging from the mid-rane to high-end market where the LANParty series is a strong brand gjort sig ett starkt namn.
“It is a well know fact that our industrial motherboards give us a more dependable year round business but there are no plans to stop production on our LanParty and Infinity line products. At the moment we still have LanParty and Infinity boards planned until Q4 2007 and R&D is constantly thinking of new boards to add to the planning,”
We’re convinced that many are relieved over this and we’re eager to see what this will do for DFI and its development of the LANParty series.
