iRiver Clix is the successor to the popular U10. The design is quite similar and iRiver claims that main exterior difference is the colors of the players. This player namely also has a 2.2″ display which can show up to 262 000 colors, but beneath the exterior there is more separating the two. Among others a faster processor and twice the capacity; 4GB. The player sports most audio formats such as MP3, WMA and OGG, but also MPEG4 (15fps video), Macromedia Flash Player, TXT and non-progressive JPEG.
During music playback there is also support for album covers, which can be synchronized with Windows Media Center for those who have large music libraries. The navigation is suppose to be the same as with the minimalistic S10, namely its D-click system. The battery time is suppose to be 30 hours and with an integrated FM radio there will always be something to listen to.
iRiver Clix costs $169.99 and is already available in stores in North America, but should appear in Europe later this month.
