Playstation 3 will be more than just a simple video game console. Sony has been pushing on the fact that you get a lot of extra value with an integrated Blu-ray player and the multimedia capacity is suppose to make it all worthwhile. A multimedia system is never complete without a remote of some sort though and now also that has appeared. The remote will use Bluetooth instead of infrared signals, which is pretty obvious since Playstation 3 doesn’t have an IR receiver, but good support for Bluetooth. According to Stuff Magazine it will cost £16 ($30) when it hits the stores in Japan in December.
The remote seems to have more than enough features, but alas the design doesn’t stand up to much. It reminds us of something you saw 10-15 years ago.
