Intel and NVIDIA have had many rumours circling around lately and much of this is thanks to AMD’s recent ATI takeover. But there are some certain differences between AMD and Intel. Arstechnica has listed a few reasons to why this is a higly unlikely piece of business. Mainly, Intel is bigger than AMD and they already have a complete platform. They simply don’t have any need for additional chipset manufacturing in any form. They also already have invested in PowerVR technology from Imagination Technologies, but that is probably to complete their budget chipsets and their GPU-CPUs. At the same time Intel are rearranging their organisation and their economy is not stable yet after the earlier problems this year.
