Samsung has for long been one of the leading actors on the LCD monitor market, but hasn’t been offering any products in the larger segments. Both Apple and Dell have monitors in the 30″ segment, and now also Samsung does. Samsung SyncMaster 305T is the name of the new monitor which just like its competitors use a panel with 2560×1600 pixels. Except from a massive resolution the monitor offers a respectable contrast ratio at 1000:1 and a repsonse time at 6ms (GTG). Samsung says that its new monitor is intended for the research and development market and has equipped 305T accordingly.
The foot of the monitor can be adjusted vertically and you can turn and angle the panel for a 10:16 format. Samsung has also fitted the monitor with a four port USB hub. Unfortunately we can’t see any support for HDCP, but we really hope Samsung hasn’t forgotten about it. The two DVI-I inputs will make it easy and possible to connect one or more computers to the monitor. The price will be up to par with the competition; 1999 USD.
