Apple MacBook still use the old Core Duo CPUs, but according to DigiTimes that may change soon. It reports that Foxconn has secured huge orders from Apple concerning MacBooks that are going to be produced in the last quarter this year. In connection to this, Apple’s going to cut its orders from Asustek with a third. The new MacBook will be in stores this year, but exactly what’s new about it, if anything at all, we don’t know. Right now the MacBooks use the old Core Duo CPU, which actually runs cooler and draws less power than the newer the Core 2 Duo. There have been a lot of rumours concerning this update, but hopefully the new MacBook will be available in stores as the Christmas shopping spree begins.
