Antares is AMD’s coming dual-core which will arrive at the same time as the quad-core Altair. Antares will be a 65nm processor with 512KB L2 cache for each core, a shared L3 cache at 2MB and HT3.0. VR-Zone reports that at the approximately the same time as AMD will launch Antares, and Altair, Intel will counter with Wolfdale, and Yorkfield, which are both based on the Penryn core (45nm). Wolfdale is a dual-core processor with a shared 6MB L2 cache and 1333MHz FSB. Wolfdale will apparently be very scalable and reach speeds up to 4GHz. The really impressive about Wolfdale is its TDP specified at only 57W.
