Rumors have been going around whether NVIDIA is working on a physics accelerator of its own, similar to Ageia’s PhysX. E.g. ASUS wrote in its press release that its new motherboard was ready for NVIDIA’s coming physics solution through its three PCI-E 16x slots. Now The Inquirer has managed to take a rather interesting picture during an event in New York. The picture clearly shows a SLI system which has a PhysX card installed. Whether this is a temporary solution or just an employee’s way of killing time we don’t know, but it’s rather peculiar situation, one have to say.
