Windows Vista will certainly put more load on your PC and especially the graphics cards will work more than it did in Windows XP, but the big question is whether it puts so much load that the battery time with notebooks will become a problem. We reported a few weeks back about and article where they tested the power consumption in Vista compared to XP and there we couldn’t see much of a difference. But over at Wired.com they’ve now published an article that claims that Vista will indeed be a power hog and the troublemaker is, of course, the operating system’s new graphical user interface; Aero. We need more and more extensive tests to be able to make any real conclusions though as tthe opinions of today seems to be quite diverted.
