Samsung has now released a new monitor which stands out from the crowd: XL20. The monitor has been developed and is intended for those with exceptionally high demands for color reproduction. By using a LED backlight it has been able to create an extremely exact reproduction both when it comes to temperature and colors. The 20″ monitor can reproduce 114% of the NTSC gamut. A regular LCD monitor can do about 82% and a CRT ~76%. With an 8ms response time, 1600x1200px resolution, 178° viewing angles and a contrast ratio at 1000:1 it is a monitor for professionals.
Samsung XL20 has a recommended price at $1,999 and should be available at regular Samsung resellers.
