NVIDIA has been more popular than usual lately and it’s not the least because of the two big launches a last few ago where we got to know the GeForce 8800 graphics card series and 600i series of chipsets. The upcoming months are looking very promising to NVIDIA, but now we have proof that the past months have also been very good to NVIDIA. Now that it has released its figures for the last fiscal quarter it turn out it was one of the best quarter in the company’s history. The net earnings for the graphics circuit giant has increased with over 63% since the same period of last year, $106.5 million compared to $65.2 million last year. It’s not just an improvement when compared to last year’s third quarter, but also compared to the second quarter of this year, where the earnings stopped at $86.8 million.
“The third quarter was one of the best in NVIDIA’s history,” said Jen-Hsun Huang, president and CEO of NVIDIA. “For the third consecutive quarter, we delivered record revenue as we continued to gain share in each of our core businesses.”
NVIDIA are looking stronger than ever before and the product launches the last couple of days are looking to nothing but strengthen this. We’re eager to see how AMD’s acquisition of ATI will affect the situation between the two graphics circuit giants, but so far NVIDIA seems to be enjoying it.
