GeForce 8800 GTX SLI will be the optimal setup for the really extreme enthusiasts the upcoming months and even there are rather few who can actually afford this, more and more people seem to be thinking of it. One who didn’t need much thinking before getting his own was our Swedish forum member Conman and he has now published some nice GeForce 8800 GTX SLI overclocking results in our Swedish forum. The two graphics cards are completed by an EVGA motherboard based on NVIDIA’s fresh nForce 680i chipset.
With an Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 processor running at 4.5GHz, cooled by a compressor setup, Conman has managed to climb over 80,000 points in 3DMark2001 and 18,000 in 3DMark06. He has posted rather little about the system in detail, but we’re eager to see more results from others in our forums with GeForce 8800 systems. In less than two weeks the Swedish Performance Championship 2006 will kick off, so prepare to be flooded with overclocking results. There will of course also be nice prices and Conman may very well be a candidate for the title. The complete results with Conman’s GeForce 8800 GTX SLI system can be found in our Swedish forum.
