Intel Bloomfield will be quad-core with support for eight threads

0

Bloomfield is the processor that will come after Yorkfield and is based on Intel’s 45nm technology. Just as earlier reports have said it will be for the coming Socket B and have an integrated memory controller. The support for eight threads will be similar to that Pentium 4 had, but a lot more advanced. We should point out that it’s 2008 we’re talking about and that a lot can happen until then. But still, you can’t deny that Bloomfield is quite exciting and that a sneak peek into the future wouldn’t make it any easier to withstand the wait.
