Microsoft Office disliked by Korea

0

Microsoft has been having more than a few problems with its software products in Korea. First they were convicted, just like in Europe, for using its dominating position by including Media Player and MSN Messenger with its Windows operating system and later on it was sued because Office had support for switching between English and Korean. This has namely been patented by professor Lee Keung-Hae and the company P&IB, which has sued Microsoft on his behalf, wants $75 million in license fees to allow Microsoft to sell Office on the Korean market. Microsoft is certain that it’s product is not incriminating on his patent and will keep pushing for a dismissal.
