PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 are the two more powerful consoles but with these it’s more than just the gaming which is suppose to attract customers. The support for the new high-res blue laser formats are almost just as important and in the one corner we have PS3 with its integrated support for Blu-ray while Microsoft is camping out in the second corner with Xbox 360 and its external HD DVD player. Two different game consoles with two different HD formats, a comparison might be hard to do but at the same time highly attractive. At High-Def Digest they put PS3 against Xbox 360 and put all of the focus on their support for the next generation movie formats. The result is that both camps have done well with its products and that it is really hard to announce a winner.
“Sorry, I can’t tell you which is the best next-gen game console — that’s all about the games. But in terms of high-definition picture and sound quality, ease-of-use and price, both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 with add-on deliver a product that rivals any next-gen player on the market today, regardless of format.”
