Flash Voyager is the name of Corsair’s USB memory series and through its simple and durable design the portable memory has become quite popular. That the ‘largest’ USB memories have already surpassed the DVD format in capacity is old news, but now things are really starting to happen. Corsair has namely announced a new model in its Voyager series with twice the capacity of the older top model. The fact that Corsair earlier offered at Flash Voyager with 8GB capacity makes it pretty obvious that the new model comes with 16GB of storage.
It’s pretty staggering how the capacity of the USB memories, despite their minimalistic formats, have increased and even if Corsair is far from the first to launch a 16GB model it’s a step towards more and cheaper high-capacity memories. The capacity of the USB memory is now close to that of 4 DVDs, with a size you can easily fit into your pocket or wallet. The top models costs quite a penny as usual and 16GB Flash Voyager is no exception as the recommended prise is $299.
