Dell has started to broaden its LCD monitor assortment further and now a new 22″ has appeared in Japanese stores according to Engadget. The new monitor is called Dell E228WFP and has besides from a 22″ widescreen panel a 1680x1050px resolution, 800:1 contrast ratio and a 5ms response time. What’s really positive about this is that the monitor supports HDCP-encoded signals through its DVI input, but for those who wants to use analog signals the monitor also comes with a VGA input. We’re looking forward to seeing some international prices for Dell’s new 22″ but in Japan the price is about $580. Unfortunately we should be able to expect a higher price outside of Japan.
