AACS for HD DVD, and Blu-ray, cracked

There was a lot of talk before Blu-ray and HD DVD were launched that they would bring copy protections that would make all potential attempts to crack them end up in great displays of cryings. Now it seems that the ones crying are the developers of AACS (Advanced Access Content System). Engadget namely reports that a user at Doom9.org has managed to crack it. By using his application BackupHDDVD you can save and make a backup of your recently purchased HD DVD movie. We should point out that Blu-ray has two more copy protections that have to be cracked for you to be able to make backups of those, HD DVD on the other hand is in trouble now.
