Athlon 64 X2 6000+ is said to be the coming flagship of the X2 series and according to HKEPC this model will appear during the first quarter of 2007. 6000+ will work at 3.0GHz and it’s actually being made with AMD’s older 90nm technology, if this information is correct. The processor will be equipped with 2MB L2 cache and consume up to 89W. New 65nm processors are expected to arrive the coming months in the form of Athlon 64 X2 5200+ and 5400+. During the third quarter Athlon 64 X2 5600+ is also expected to appear in a 65nm suit. We are to expect higher frequencies and less cache when comparing them to current 90nm models.
