What the mysterious statue Geoff Keighley and others involved in The Game Awards (TGA) now increasingly looks to be related to the next Divinity game from Larian Studios.
In recent weeks, the internet has been awash with theories about what the mysterious statue in the Mojave Desert might mean. Curious computer sleuths have been poring over images of the statue in detail, and many have even visited it in person to try to figure out what the statue that The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley shared pictures of actually means.
Now it seems that most of the theories were wrong. The website MP1st has discovered new trademarks registered in Europe and among these it seems that the answer can be found. Among the information at EUIPO is not only what is believed to be the logo for the upcoming project. The same shape that we saw on the statue has also been registered at the same time.

The above brand is among the newly discovered trademark registrations. Those who have followed the mystery surrounding the statue Keighley managed to build so much hype around will probably recognize the shape immediately. So there is a lot of evidence that the statue that has created so much talk about could be the next project related to Larian’s well-regarded Divinity series.
Jason Schreier says the mysterious statue teased for The Game Awards is NOT for Diablo 4.

On the other hand, it would be somewhat surprising if Larian showed off a new game right now. The studio’s CEO mentioned just under a year ago that their next game would be something real. He has also mentioned that the next game will probably take the studio another five years to complete. However, it is not entirely impossible that it is all about something Divinity-related that is not a game. The Game Awards are in two days, so luckily we don’t have to wait too long before we get a definitive answer to the mystery.
