Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000 will be the first harddrive to reach the magic 1TB and the world’s first Terabyte and thus largest harddrive has been displayed at CES. The harddrive is despite of its massive capacity of a 3.5″ format, as it should be, and at Engadget they’ve been able to take a few pictures of the coming class leader. Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000 will as we previously reported use five platters at 200GB each, but despite that this may sound as an expensive solution we can expect competitive prices when the harddrive arrives during the first quarter.
