About two weeks ago we reported about how Xbox 360 had been selling the most during the Christmas season, outselling both PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii. Not much of a surprise as both Sony and Nintendo were selling pretty much as many as they could but had limited supplies due to the early launches. What the previous report neglected to mention was the best selling console of all, no matter what generation. New information namely reveals that PlayStation 2 is still the best seller and during the Christmas shopping in the USA there was no less than 1.4 millions PS2 consoles sold, while Xbox 360 sold “only” 1.1 million. Sony PS2 once again proves its greatness, but during the year to come the incredibly popular console will most likely be having a much harder time standing up to the the new generation of consoles.
