Foxconn has launched a new motherboard for Intel’s new Core 2 Quad platform based on NVIDIA’s nForce 680i SLI chipset. Foxconn has stuck to its naming trend and chosen a name which is completely impossible to say, try it for yourself: Foxconn N68S7AA-8EKRS2H, but behind the confusing name is a seemingly very competent motherboard. Foxconn puts the focus on the support for Core 2 Quad but also a 1333MHz processor bus which Intel will soon start using. The motherboard is equipped with three PCIe x16 slots for PCIe graphics cards and perhaps a physics accelerator, which we are still waiting for more information about.
Below are the complete specifications for the motherboard and a high-res picture we’ve managed to acquire. We still don’t know how much the board will cost, but Foxconn’s latest creation will be available in stores today.
