Cedar Mill, which is Intel’s 65nm core, has been a quite interesting alternative for those who want to reach really high frequencies. Cedar Mill has been used with among others Celeron D and now Swedish forum user blossa has published some results from yesterday’s overclocking session. The goal was first of all a 100% overclock using a Celeron D 360, but as that went a lot easier than first anticipated, he chose to continue and things did indeed go well. With the help of liquid nitrogen he managed to push the processor to quite respectable 7311MHz. Unfortunately the motherboard gave up after that, but if it would resurrect we should be able to expect some more nice results later today.
