Windows Vista is yet to be announced for the retail market, but with only a week left to the launch information about the first Service Pack has already appeared. Windows Vista SP1 has been codenamed Fiji and Microsoft has been checking with its customers to hear what they have to say about the new operating system, just to be able to finish the first big update as soon as possible. There are also some functions Microsoft didn’t have time to implement in the final version of Vista but most likely will appear with SP1.
“One of the candidates for this better-late-than-never brigade would be the Windows PowerShell, previously Microsoft Shell — a .NET-based command line shell with its own scripting language.”
Microsoft has plans for releasing Vista SP1 during the second half of 2007 and this hopefully mean that any teething problems should be fixed quickly.
