Google has decided to let Gmail (Google is in dispute over the name Gmail in Europe though) free and skip the invitations. Today Gmail offers up to 2.8GB of storage and an, according to Google, unique and superior spam protection. Google finance its service by having scripts that search through the mails and then display advertisements which reflect the content. Google has earlier launched software for checking your mail and getting mail notifications and is supposedly also working on making Gmail a lot more mobile phone accessible. Those who want a Gmail account can head over to gmail.google.com.
