After Microsoft’s launch of Windows Vista there have been numerous reports about compatibility problems with NVIDIA’s older chipsets nForce2 and nForce 3 used with AMD’s Socket A and socket 754 platforms. To begin with it seemed like NVIDIA would simply ignore this, but now it seems that NVIDIA has found the problem and will investigate the matter. NVIDIA says that it will probably release an updated MCP driver that will solve the compatibility issues and we’re relieved knowing that also older systems will be capable of running Windows Vista without problems. What NVIDIA certainly doesn’t need right now is more bad publicity for its Vista compatibility.
