Intel is currently riding a real wave of success and its new and efficient processor architecture has once and again proven to be technically superior to AMD’s equivalents. But if there is someone that knows that technical superiority isn’t everything it’s AMD and the processor manufacturer has entered a real price war with Intel. According to analyst Y. Edwin Mok from Needham, AMD has lowered its processor prices once a week for the last three weeks and the very competitive prices forces Intel to lower its prices. Mok also discuss Dell as a good example where AMD offers mighty rebates to grab a greater market share and Dell can more or less play the two processor manufacturers against each other.
