OCZ has now launched its new memory series Reaper HPC (Heat Pipe Conduit). The thing that makes this series unique is the new cooler. We’ve seen memories with extreme heatspreaders before in the form of Corsair Dominator and FlexXLC (also from OCZ), a heatspreader that combines the a heatspreader with a water cooling block. The fact is that this cooler appeared last month already, but it’s now OCZ has chosen to launch memories with this heatpipe cooler. The memories that use this new cooler are DDR2 PC2-8500 (1066MHz) with latencies at 5-5-5-15 (2.1V) and sports EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles) and, we assume, pretty decent overclocking potential.
