Gigabyte United is a joint venture between motherboard manufacturers ASUS and Gigabyte where they own 49% and 51% respectively. Rumors are now going around that this venture may be coming to an end. OC Workbench namely reports that the $120 million ASUS was suppose to invest in the project hasn’t arrived and that Foxconn is considering filing against the venture for breaking anti competitive laws in the EU. A statement is expected to be made at CeBIT on March 17, but according to other sources this seems to be just a rumor and the statement will be about something completely different.
