ASUS EcoBook is the latest laptop from ASUS and this one has been made from a pretty odd material. We’ve earleir seen ASUS launch everything from shiny Lamborghini laptops to leather-bound notebooks. EcoBook is, just as the name reveals, an ecofriendly computer and as expected ASUS has chosen to use material supplied by Mother Nature for the case, or more precise the bamboo tree. Computer cases made from wood has been done before, but a bamboo laptop is certainly something new. So far there isn’t much information available about what hides beneath the recyclable wooden panels, but at CNET they’ve published a number of pictures of the stylish laptop.
We assume that ASUS is also going for some rather energy efficient hardware in its EcoBook, but we will have to wait until next year to find out for sure.
