Dell has announced that it as the first PC manufacturer will be building computers with 1TB harddrives. It has made a deal with harddrive manufacturer Hitachi and will be launching both XPS and Alienware systems with the new 7K1000 harddrive. Computers with 1TB of storage are hardly something new, but this will be the first time some launches a system with a Single harddrive with a 1TB capacity.
“This type of capability used to be available only to the largest corporations. With the spectacular advancement in hard drives and the engineering in our systems, we’re now able to bring it to consumers.”
