SiS is a chipset manufacturer that most of you have probably heard of one time or another. It’s target market have always been the affordable segment and now that is has presented several new series of chipsets the focus is the same. SiS672FX, SiS672, SiSM672MX, SiS671FX, SiS671, SiS671DX and SiSM671MX are all made for Windows Vista and Intel’s Core 2 Duo platform, while SiS771 is for AMD’s Socket AM2. The chipsets will cover both mobile and desktop needs and through the integrated graphics circuit, SiS Mirage 3+, which 672 and 771 sports, you will get Vista Aero support.
At the same time it has presented a new segment of its assortment: RAM modules. SiS has been working for a year developing and finalizing both DDR and DDR2 modules; DDR2-800, DDR2-667, DDR2-533, DDR-400 and DDR333. These are in now way high performance modules, but just like SiS other products; high value. More information about these is expected to appear soon.
