Vista can save companies a lot of money through its power saving functions

0

According to an independent study by PC Pro Labs, Windows Vista’s new power saving function Sleep will make it possible for companies that are now using Windows XP to save up to $90 per year and computer in pure electric costs. This has been calculated when using the default settings, which is what too many companies are using. The Vista Sleep function has been evaluated as both faster and more reliable than XP’s StandBy. Vista’s sleep has been criticized for locking up the computer and that not everything have worked after waking up, but this has been due to faulty drivers according to Microsoft. Anyhow, if you take it one step further this could mean up to 45 ton less carbon dioxide per year for a company of 200 computers.
