Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 4000 is the new entry model of Microsoft’s series of laser-based desktop kits. The keyboard comes with Microsoft’s Comfort Curve design, quick launch buttons to Vista and Live functions and Microsoft’s Wireless Laser Mouse 5000. The quick launch buttons can be used to access Windows LiveCall (instant messaging) or perhaps Windows Gadgets (weather, stock quotes, etc.), but there is a whole bunch of programmable keys. The new keyboard is practically identical to the older Wireless Optical Desktop 4000, the difference is the mouse and the fact that it is using laser technology instead. The desktop kit will arrive in stores in April and cost $79.95.
