ATIpower is a relatively new tool for Linux users that want to squeeze some more performance from their ATI Radeon graphics cards. At Phoronix they’ve taken a closer look at ATIpower, which offers a better support for newer cards than the older RadeonOverclock, also known as rovclock. The application requires that you’re using fglrx drivers and we can hardly expect AMD to update Catalyst Control Center Linux Edition with OverDrive anytime soon. Preliminary tests show some very promising results despite the early state of the application.
