Windows Vista has been a mixed blessing for Microsoft so far. Reports have been indicating that it has had some effects, others says it hasn’t. Among others, it’s been said that Vista has had a worse start than XP on some markets, that it has not affected the PC sales, that companies are hesitating,but at the same time the sales figures prove that Vista has been selling better than XP overall; 20 million vs. 17 million during the equivalent months. According to a new market study from Net Applications, Vista has doubled its market share (0.93% to 2.04%) during the last month, while the share Mac OS X users have gone down with 0,3% to 6,08%, The PowerPC Macs decreased (4.29% to 3.94%) more than Intel Macs increased.
The same report shows that Firefox continues to gain on IE (up to 15,1%), while the latter is dropping overall (down to 78.57%). Safari dropped to 4,51%.
