AMD launched its first 3GHz dual-core processor, AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+, back in February, and now it has broadened its assortment with two new 3GHz dual-core processors; Opteron 2222 SE and Opteron 2822 SE. As the names imply these are server processors for two-way and quad/octo processor systems. The two processors sport 2MB L2 cache and fits into Socket F. The new models have the SE suffix, which points to a TDP at 120W. Products using these new processors are expected to surface the coming weeks.
