Intel Centrino is one of the most successful platform launches on the computer market we’ve seen in modern time. Intel wanted Centrino to become a synonym to laptops, quality and performance and we’re forced to say that Intel has succeeded. To complete the Centrino and vPro platforms, Intel has now decided to launch Centrino Pro. This information can be reached through the southbridge that is constantly listening to a specified port and as long as the computer has power, but is not necessarily turned on, you are able to access this information, but also other parts of the computer.
The platform will arrive during the second quarter and will, of course, be based on Intel’s own Core 2 Duo processors and the coming Santa Rosa technology, together with Intel’s draft-N technology for wireless networks.
