Eaglelake is the sequel to the coming Bearlake family, which is yet to see the light of day. Even if Eaglelake isn’t suppose to arrive until next year, the second quarter of 2008, there still plans for what it will deliver. Eaglelake will bring support for Intel’s coming 45nm processors, which probably include the native quad-core processor Bloomfield, and 1333MHz FSB support. We assume that this is a figure that might improve to 1600MHz if there’s a need for it. There will still be DDR2 support with these chipsets, but also an improved DDR3 support; up to 1333MHz.

HKEPC also reports that the two known Eaglelake-P and Eaglelake-G (integrated graphics) will be paired with ICH10, which we believe is due to the lack of an ICH11. PCI Express 2.0 will be available with all models, not just the top model like with the coming Bearlake series where X38 will be the only one with PCI Express 2.0.

Eaglelake-G will get an updated graphics circuit, but it doesn’t say anything more than that. What we do know on the other hand is that the HDMI output will be completed by a DisplayPort, and hardware decoding of HD video and various image quality improving features. More information and diagrams can be found at HKEPC.
