Windows Vista was launched in January after being delayed for quite some time. We’ve been following the ambiguous reports about the sales of Vista and when we now hear that Microsoft will stop PC builders from shipping new computers with Windows XP at the end of the year, it feels like a rather desperate move. There is still a big demand for computers with XP from both consumers and companies. There is no doubt that both people and companies are skeptic of Vista, for example; Intel will wait until Service Pack 1 arrives, but that doesn’t seem to move Microsoft considerably. In 2008, PC builders will be forced to ship their computers with Vista, or perhaps Linux?
