A while back, Dell finally decided to build computers with Linux, but it did not reveal which distribution the computers would have installed. There were three distributions that fought for the glory of being shipped with Dell’s computers, but according to insider sources to DesktopLinux.com it will be the recently released Ubuntu 7.04. A far from surprising decision since Michael Dell himself uses it with one of his computers, but also that it was the one distribution most people requested. The new computers will be both regular desktops (Dimension), workstations (XPS) and laptops (Inspiron).
