Lenovo seems to the first company to adopt the coming Wireless USB standard. The number of products supporting the new wireless protocol is still closer to zero than ten and the number actually available on the market is even fewer, but that hasn’t stopped Lenovo from integrating support for the standard with a coming laptop. Wireless USB is, or least was, expected to compete with bluetooth, in MP3 players, cameras and other portable consumer electronics. Wireless USB sports 480Mbps at close range and up to 110Mbps at ten meters (33ft.). More products sporting the new interface are expected to arrive later this year, but how many remains to be seen.
