Intel is doing everything they can to make AMD’s situation as unpleasant as possible. It wasn’t long ago when we heard that Intel’s coming 45nm dual-core processor Wolfdale may arrive this fall already and that the processors with 1333MHz bus is just around the corner, and now we hear about the next staggering blow. According to DailyTech it has now been confirmed that Intel will be slashing prices of its quad-core processors on June 22. This means that Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 will cost $266 at the end of the summer. Core 2 Quad Q6700 will be cut to $530, while the entire Xeon segment will slashed similarly.
