Sony has presented a new display with a couple of really neat properties, which makes it stand out a bit. The display measures 2.5″ and is only 0.3mm (0.12 inches) thin. The most astonishing about this display is that it can bent just like paper and can present images at surprisingly good image quality. Just like the previous paper displays we’ve seen, it’s an OLED display, but this one sport a lot higher image quality than previously seen displays. The image quality paired with the fact that it is so bendable should open up for some new possibilities.

It’s already been discussed what kind of products the display can be used with and clothes seems to be the most popular suggestion. The display is also relatively durable, which means that if you happen to drop it or rub against it, it wouldn’t break.

In reality, we’re skeptical of a practical use, but one can’t help being a little bit excited over the impressive image quality for such a display.
