NVIDIA’s flagship GeForce 8800 Ultra is still the fastest graphics card around, but there isn’t much that has changed since the GeForce 8800 GTX. Not the stock performance at least but the the new Ultra cards has been a lot more expensive, something NVIDIA has been criticized for. It seems that NVIDIA has considered the criticism and according to recent reports the price of GeForce 8800 Ultra is starting to slide lower and lower. Not all manufacturers have lowered their prices, but e.g. XFX GeForce 8800 Ultra has become $70 cheaper in just a few days over here. A GeForce 8800 Ultra still costs somewhere around $600 though.
