Apple has managed to launch yet another success with its iPhone and after just one week of sales, reports of the future of the iPhone have started surfacing. DRAMeXchange, expects Apple to sell 4 million iPhones in 2007. This could become a problem for the memory chip manufacturers which have to manufacture large amounts of chips to be able to cover the need of both iPhones and iPods. Apple self has estimated to ship 8 million iPhones in 2008, but according to DRAMeXchange, Apple will more than that. It estimates Apple to ship 12 million iPhones in 2008 and grab 1% of the total mobile phone market. It’s hard to get a better start than that.
